Terrestrial Ecotoxicology

We offer standardised and bespoke terrestrial ecotoxicology studies fro Tier 1 laboratory studies through to complex higher-tier semi-field and field trials. All planned and delivered to GLP standards.

What we cover

Terrestrial risk assessment requires evidence across multiple organism groups — non-target arthropods, terrestrial plants and soil organisms all play essential roles in ecosystem function. Our team has the expertise to design and deliver studies across all three, working to current OECD, ISO, IOBC, EPA and WPRS guidelines. We can adapt any study for aged residue designs, species sensitivity distributions or manure-mediated exposure where required.

Three organism groups, one team

Non-target arthropods, terrestrial plants and soil organisms — we cover all three under one roof, without the need to split your programme across multiple labs.

Standard and higher-tier in house

From Tier I laboratory studies to extended lab, glasshouse, semi-field and full field trials, we handle every tier of the testing continuum.

Specialist veterinary medicine capability

We offer specialist dung organism studies required for endo- and ectoparasiticides, as well as extended terrestrial plant studies using manure-mediated exposure.

Aged residue and SSD study designs

Our team has extensive experience adapting standard study designs — including aged residue tests for non-target arthropods and species sensitivity distributions for terrestrial plants.

Bespoke protocol development

We design and validate novel study protocols where existing guidelines don't cover your specific substance, species or exposure scenario.

Internationally aligned guidelines

All studies are planned in accordance with OECD, ISO, IOBC, EPA and WPRS guidelines — accepted across global regulatory frameworks.

Studies available

Higher-tier studies when the standard data isn't enough

When a Phase I result triggers further assessment, we're ready. Our experience in higher-tier study design — including semi-field trials and field-scale investigations — means you're not starting from scratch at the most critical point in your registration programme.
