ENIGMA | A model for collaborative innovation
A collaborative R&D model connecting industry partners with Fera Science to solve defined agri-food-environment challenges through co-funded, applied research.
]Cost effective and mission focused collaboration.
ENIGMA is Fera’s strategic impact R&D model established to address near-term, sector-wide challenges across the agri-food-environment through joint industry sponsorship of programmes to resolve specific but common problems.
Each ENIGMA project targets a well-defined challenge faced by the sector where co-sponsorship of the study programme by industry partners enables Fera to deploy world-class science to find its resolution.
With access to knowledge and expertise at Fera, combined with a rich network of academics internationally, Fera aims, with each ENIGMA project, to help create sustainable food production systems that are truly fit for the future.
The knowledge emerging from ENIGMA programmes belongs to the sponsors and Fera only presenting sponsors with competitive advantage.
