Once payment has been received you will receive an instruction pack with 1 Spore trap unit** and a sample kit containing the required number of collection sticks for weekly sample collection and prepaid envelopes to return your samples back to us. Each service package is designed to enable monitoring for spores through leaf emergence, flowering, grape development to harvest.
When you receive your Spore trap, set it up as soon as possible so that you can start sampling the air in your vineyard.
The unit contains two rotating collection sticks, these sticks need to be replaced and received by Fera, using the return envelopes provided, on Monday and Thursday by no later than 5pm for testing.
When we receive your samples they will be analysed using DNA based detection methods and you will receive your results via email within 3 days of receipt.
