Trey is the Head of the Ecotoxicology group at Fera. His role is to ensure the delivery of a high-quality ecotoxicology service to clients. Trey has about 20 years professional scientific experience, with most of it conducting aquatic research, including ecotoxicology testing, in academic, government, industry and contract research laboratories.
Trey is responsible for the management and delivery of ecotoxicology studies and the development and expansion of the business and science capabilities within the group. The group has a broad range of capabilities in terrestrial, pollinator and aquatic ecotoxicology.
Regulations and restrictions on the use of chemicals to tackle plant and animal pests and diseases are becoming increasingly stringent, which means the range of chemical options available for tackling these threats is constantly being eroded. It’s essential to ensure that any chemicals used in the environment do not pose a threat to plants, wildlife and ecosystems, while ensuring they are effective against target pests and diseases.
