Alwyn is a senior scientist working on environmental contaminants at Fera. He oversees the development of new methodologies, and carries out research and development studies for a wide range of UK and overseas government and commercial clients.
The environmental contaminants team utilises a range of both cutting
edge and traditional techniques to provide comprehensive analytical
measurements on regulated and emerging contaminants, in food, animal
feed, environmental compartments and human tissues.
Alwyn works on a number of EURL specialist core working groups on food
safety and is co-editor of the EU guidance document on measurement
uncertainty. He has authored or co-authored over 170 papers, and book
chapters including editing a book on persistent organic pollutants.
