  3. β-agonists
β-Agonists (beta-agonists or Beta adrenergic agonists) are used in veterinary medicine to treat pulmonary disorders, but have also been used illegally as growth promoters for more efficient meat production. Fera’s food safety scientists can screen your food samples to check residue levels and confirm they are not present where not permitted, for example from use as illicit growth promoters in the EU.
  4. Methylgloxal (MGO) Analysis
Fera honey analysis experts make use of extensive analyses to determine the authenticity of Manuka honey. We determine a range of chemical compounds which are recognised markers of Manuka honey.
  5. Dioxins, Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and PBDEs

Fera food safety specialists are expert at identifying and quantifying a range of PBDEs within your samples. Through this detailed analysis, useful insights can be found to confirm your sample is safe to offer to consumers. Our accredited methods are well suited to providing the accuracy and detection limits you require to highlight these contaminants.

Many different matrices can be tested not just foods, contact us for further information or to discuss your needs with one of our scientists.

  6. 3-MCPD Analysis
3-MCPD (3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol), 2-MCPD (2-monochloropropane-1,2-diol) and glycidyl esters are a by-product of processing or refining edible oils and fats and are only relatively recent in their discovery.
  7. AOF Package (Aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2, total; ochratoxin A and fumonisins FB1, FB2 and FB3)
Fera Science Limited can analyse food or feed samples to measure levels of Aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2, total; ochratoxin A and fumonisins FB1, FB2 and FB3. The methods used are fully compliant with EU contaminants legislation to allow you to assess your compliance with regulatory limits in place.
  8. MGO, DHA & HMF Analysis Quad Package (With Leptosperin)
Fera honey analysis experts make use of extensive analyses to determine the authenticity of Manuka honey. We determine a range of chemical compounds which are recognised markers of Manuka honey.
