  1. β-agonists
β-Agonists (beta-agonists or Beta adrenergic agonists) are used in veterinary medicine to treat pulmonary disorders, but have also been used illegally as growth promoters for more efficient meat production. Fera’s food safety scientists can screen your food samples to check residue levels and confirm they are not present where not permitted, for example from use as illicit growth promoters in the EU.
  2. Avermectins
The avermectins are a series of drugs used to treat parasitic worms. Fera food safety experts make use of innovative testing methods to highlight the levels of a comprehensive range of avermectins, within your food samples. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to verify that the levels of avermectins within your food products are compliant.
  3. Veterinary Medicines Multi-Residue Screen (Option 2)
Within this multi-residue screen, Option 2, Fera food safety experts highlight the presence of over 70 veterinary medicines within one single screen. These analytes fall into the following main classes : Anthelmitics, Coccidiostats, and Sedatives.
