  1. Pesticide Multi-Residue Screen 1 (Animal Products)
    Fera is a UK National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for Pesticide Residues. Fera has established a reputation for implementing new technologies, developing and validating new methodologies and extending the scope of existing methods in order to include new pesticide/matrix combinations. This multi-residue suite is for testing for pesticides in animal products like milk, cheese, meat and hens' eggs.
  2. Tiamulin
    Food safety experts at Fera can screen your samples for residues of the veterinary medicine, tiamulin, highlighting their presence and quantifying levels present. Tiamulin is a member of the pleuromutilin class of antibiotic drugs that is used in the treatment of bacterial infections particularly for pigs and poultry.
  3. Sedatives

    Fera food scientists are able to highlight and quantify the levels of a range of sedatives, within a variety of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of sedatives within your food products.

  4. Sulfonamides
    Sulphonamides (also called Sulfonamides) are the oldest and remain among the most widely used antibacterial agents in veterinary medicine, chiefly because of low cost and their relative efficacy in some common bacterial diseases.
  5. Quinolones (including fluoroquinolones)

    Fera scientists can analyse food samples to detect residues from quinolones (and fluoroquinolones). We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of quinolones within your food products.

  6. Penicillins/Cephalosporins

    Fera food scientists are able to highlight and quantify the levels of a range of penicillins and cephalosporins, within a variety of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of penicillins and cephalosporins within your food products.

  7. Macrolides
    Fera scientists can analyse food samples to detect residues from macrolides (including lincosamides). We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of macrolides within your food products
  8. Coccidiostats (Multi-residue)

    Fera food scientists are able to highlight and quantify the levels of a range of coccidostats, within a variety of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of coccidostats within your food products.

  9. Benzimidazoles (and imidazothiazoles)
    Fera food scientists are able to highlight and quantify the levels of a range of benzimidazoles, within a variety of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of benzimidazoles within your food products.
  10. Aminoglycosides
    In veterinary medicine in the European Union (EU), Aminoglycosides (AGs) account for 3.5% of the total sales of antimicrobials. Fera's food safety experts can highlight the presence of Aminoglycosides across a range of food types including: fish, red meat, honey, and milk.
  11. Nitrofurans
    Fera food safety experts are ideally suited to highlight and quantify a range of Nitrofurans within your food sample. Making use of extensive, industry accepted techniques our accurate results are invaluable when meeting regulations.
  12. Tetracyclines

    Fera food scientists are able to identify and quantify the levels of tetracyclines and their epimers, within a range of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to verify the levels of tetracyclines within your food products.
