    Fera is a UK National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for Pesticide Residues. Fera has established a reputation for implementing new technologies, developing and validating new methodologies and extending the scope of existing methods in order to include new pesticide/matrix combinations. This multi-residue suite is for testing for pesticides in cereals, herbs & spices, fruit & vegetables, sugar, nuts, spirits and juice/concentrates.

  3. Infant Food Multi Residue Method (MRM) Pesticide Suite
    Pesticides are typically used properly by food producers but if used incorrectly, residues may be found at unsafe levels within foodstuffs, with potentially significant and harmful effects for consumers. Infants are considered to be at greater risk to harmful effects of pesticide residues in food.
  4. Chlorate and Perchlorate Analysis Fast Track
    Chlorate and Perchlorate Analysis with express 5 working day service. Chlorate is an effective herbicide due to the oxidative destruction of the plant tissue with release of oxygen. Chlorate was banned in herbicides in 2010 and since it's use is not permitted the maximum residue level (MRL) of 0.01 mg/kg applies. Perchlorate is a similar contaminate sometimes occurring naturally, most abundantly in deposits of Sodium Nitrate in northern Chile.

    Maleic hydrazide is a plant growth regulator used to suppress growth and to induce dormancy in some crops. It is mostly used to reduce sprouting in stored crops, such as potatoes, onions, shallots and garlic.

  8. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs)

    Fera food safety specialists are expert at identifying and quantifying a range of PBDEs within your samples. Through this detailed analysis, useful insights can be found to confirm your sample is safe to offer to consumers. Our accredited methods are well suited to providing the accuracy and detection limits you require to highlight these contaminants.

  9. Dioxins and Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)

    Fera food safety experts are able to establish the levels of a range of Dioxins and PCBs within your food sample as part of a complete overview of the safety of your foodstuffs. Our accredited methods of analysis are important to confirm that levels of these potentially harmful chemicals within your foodstuffs are below legislative limits thus avoiding potentially damaging product recalls, refusals, and loss of customer trust. With this analysis, our food safety experts can measure the levels of both dioxin like and non-dioxin like PCBs in your food samples.

  10. Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAH) Testing
