  1. Cereals: Barley mild mosaic virus and Barley yellow mosaic virus
Barley yellow mosaic virus and Barley mild mosaic virus are pathogenic viruses which cause yellow mosaic disease of winter barley.
  2. Lettuce mosaic virus by ELISA - seeds
Lettuce mosaic virus (LMV) is a seed transmissible virus causing defects in lettuce heading, leaf distortions and variation in leaf colour.
  3. Rapid direct tuber test for virus
This rapid direct tuber test includes Potato virus Y (PVY) as standard.

Further viruses are available for an additional fee. These are Potato leaf roll virus (PLRV) and potato viruses PVA, PVV and PVX.

  4. Pospiviroid screen
A PCR screen to identify the presence of a number of popsiviroids in symptomatic plants/leaves including Potato spindle tuber viroid, Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid, and Columnea latent viroid.
  5. Strawberries: Virus Screening

Screening for 8 common soft fruit viruses.

  6. Brassica virus screening (3 virus screen)
Tests to identify 3 viruses found to mostly affect plants in the cabbage (Brassicaceae) family, which includes Turnips and Cauliflower.
  7. Tomato virus diagnosis screening
Screen for a range of tomato viruses on symptomatic plant material via ELISA.
  8. Blackcurrant reversion virus
A test for blackcurrant reversion disease which is caused by a virus transmitted by the mite Cecidophyopsis ribis (blackcurrant gall mite or big bud mite).
  9. Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV) - Rhizomania
Rhizomania is caused by infection of the plants by Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV).
  10. Pepino mosaic virus in seed by ELISA
Pepino mosaic virus (PepMV) affected tomatoes show distorted leaf development, with bubbling of the leaf surface and chlorosis.
  11. Spraing test for symptomatic tubers (Tobacco rattle virus & Potato mop top virus)

Tests for the 2 viruses responsible for spraing, the nematode transmitted Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the Powdery scab transmitted Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

  12. Barley yellow dwarf virus and Soil borne cereal mosaic virus

This testing for cereal crops covers both Barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) and Soil-borne cereal mosaic virus.
