  1. Strawberries: Virus Screening

    Screening for 8 common soft fruit viruses.

  2. Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd)
    Test to identify Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd) within your plant sample. This viroid is known to cause stunting and premature flowering within some cultivars.
  3. Halo blight seed test - Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. phaseolicola - bean
    Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. phaseolicola, is a pathogenic bacterium responsible for Halo Blight in a range of bean species.
  4. Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii - maize seeds
    Test for bacterial wilt caused by the bacterium Pantoea stewartii in Maize seeds.
  5. Potato wash water test - Total count of soft rotting bacteria (Pectobacterium and Dickeya spp.)
    An overall count of soft rotting bacteria in potato wash water.
  6. Standard growing on test for virus
    This growing on test takes six to eight weeks where tubers are grown on in the glasshouse and subsequently tested for various PVY strains and any specific viruses as requested using ELISA.

    Pepino mosaic virus (PepMV) affected tomatoes show distorted leaf development, with bubbling of the leaf surface and chlorosis.
  9. Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV) - Rhizomania
    Rhizomania is caused by infection of the plants by Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV).
  10. Soft Rotting Bacteria (average tuber inoculum load)
    This test provides a total count of soft rotting bacteria in potato tubers.
  11. Pea seed-borne mosaic virus by ELISA - Seeds
    Pea seed-borne mosaic virus (PSbMV) a seed and aphid transmitted virus that causes yield losses and seed defects in a range of bean and pea crops.
  12. Cereals: Barley mild mosaic virus and Barley yellow mosaic virus
    Barley yellow mosaic virus and Barley mild mosaic virus are pathogenic viruses which cause yellow mosaic disease of winter barley.
