Globally recognised provider of proficiency tests, running over 400 tests annually across an extensive range of matrices and analytes
A single sample taken by an ecologist at any time during the newt breeding season can determine their presence or absence, saving you time and money
To find out about how to improve your crop production through knowing what’s in your soil, join the Big Soil Community for just £250.
You’ll receive two reports. The first provides the results for your sample, giving a measure of the diversity of bacteria and fungi present, the top groups by relative abundance and key functional organisms.
The second report is the Big Soil Community Benchmark report which you can use in combination with your results to compare how your sample sits against the wider community picture. All data in the community benchmark report is anonymised and reported on a farm systems basis.
Take a look at an extract from the 2018 Big Soil Community level report:
The Big Soil Community is a coordinated effort to sample and analyse the biodiversity of our soil – this will help to develop sustainable agriculture and improve soil health. By doing this at scale we’re able to provide you with a cost effective and detailed analysis of the biodiversity of your soil.
The complexity of soil biology is too great for individual farms and organisations to address. A collaborative effort is required to drive a coordinated approach to understanding the role of our soils microbial communities. Metagenomics provides a census of these communities and barcodes populations across different farms and systems to identify similarities and differences which associate to healthy soil conditions.
