  1. Gangrene Latent Test
A latent test for gangrene, a slow growing fungal disease of stored potatoes, caused by Boeremia foveata.
  2. Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV) - Rhizomania
Rhizomania is caused by infection of the plants by Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV).
  3. Standard growing on test for virus in Potato (PVY)
This growing on test takes six to eight weeks where tubers are grown on in the glasshouse and subsequently tested for various PVY strains and any specific viruses as requested using ELISA.
  4. Potato spindle tuber viroid (PSTVd) seed testing package (1500 seeds)

Potato spindle tuber viroid (PSTVd) effects tomato, pepper and other solanaceous hosts. Symptoms include stunting, severe yellowing and distortion of the leaves. PSTVd is seed transmitted. 1500 seeds are tested for Potato spindle tuber viroid (PSTVd) by real time RT-PCR (TaqMan). However, this TaqMan assay also detects Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid (TCDVd), Mexican papita viroid (MPVd) and Tomato planta macho viroid (TPMVd).

  5. Spraing test for Soil - potato mop top virus

Tests for the 2 viruses responsible for spraing, the nematode transmitted Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the Powdery scab transmitted Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

  6. Pea seed-borne mosaic virus by ELISA - Seeds
Pea seed-borne mosaic virus (PSbMV) a seed and aphid transmitted virus that causes yield losses and seed defects in a range of bean and pea crops.
  7. Spraing test for Soil - tobacco rattle virus

Tests for the 2 viruses responsible for spraing, the nematode transmitted Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the Powdery scab transmitted Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

  8. Powdery scab (Spongospora subterranea)

Powdery scab (Spongospora subterranea) is a fungal blemish disease of potatoes. A cosmetic defect with small lesions occurring in the early stages of the disease, progressing to raised pustules containing a powdery mass.

  9. Combined Test: Powdery scab (Spongospora subterranea) and Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

Powdery scab (Spongospora subterranea) is a fungal blemish disease of potatoes. A cosmetic defect with small lesions occurring in the early stages of the disease, progressing to raised pustules containing a powdery mass.

  10. Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd)
Test to identify Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd) within your plant sample. This viroid is known to cause stunting and premature flowering within some cultivars.
  11. Brassica virus screening (3 virus screen)
Tests to identify 3 viruses found to mostly affect plants in the cabbage (Brassicaceae) family, which includes Turnips and Cauliflower.
  12. Cereals: Barley mild mosaic virus and Barley yellow mosaic virus
Barley yellow mosaic virus and Barley mild mosaic virus are pathogenic viruses which cause yellow mosaic disease of winter barley.
