  1. Tomato mosaic virus by ELISA - Seeds
    Tomato mosaic virus (TMV), is an infection that can cause yellowing and stunting of tomato plants, resulting in reduced yield and may cause uneven ripening of fruit.

  3. Cereals: Barley mild mosaic virus and Barley yellow mosaic virus
    Barley yellow mosaic virus and Barley mild mosaic virus are pathogenic viruses which cause yellow mosaic disease of winter barley.
  4. Rapid direct tuber test for virus in Potato (PVY + 3 Viruses)
    This rapid direct tuber test includes Potato virus Y (PVY) as standard.

    Further viruses are available for an additional fee. These are Potato leaf roll virus (PLRV) and potato viruses PVA, PVV and PVX.

  5. Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd)
    Test to identify Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd) within your plant sample. This viroid is known to cause stunting and premature flowering within some cultivars.
  6. Pospiviroid screen
    A PCR screen to identify the presence of a number of popsiviroids in symptomatic plants/leaves including Potato spindle tuber viroid, Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid, and Columnea latent viroid.
  7. Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV, Rhizomania in soil)

    Test for the presence of Rhizomania caused by Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV) within soil. BNYVV can cause severe damage if the infection spreads into the whole plant.

  8. Rapid direct tuber test for virus in Potato (PVY)
    This rapid direct tuber test includes Potato virus Y (PVY) as standard.

  9. Pea seed-borne mosaic virus by ELISA - Seeds
    Pea seed-borne mosaic virus (PSbMV) a seed and aphid transmitted virus that causes yield losses and seed defects in a range of bean and pea crops.
  10. Combined Test: Powdery scab (Spongospora subterranea) and Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

    Powdery scab (Spongospora subterranea) is a fungal blemish disease of potatoes. A cosmetic defect with small lesions occurring in the early stages of the disease, progressing to raised pustules containing a powdery mass.

  11. Blackcurrant reversion virus
    A test for blackcurrant reversion disease which is caused by a virus transmitted by the mite Cecidophyopsis ribis (blackcurrant gall mite or big bud mite).
  12. Additional pospiviroid seed testing (1500 seeds)

    Pospiviroid positives detected by real time RT-PCR (TaqMan) are tested by RT-PCR and sequencing to try to identify and confirm the pospiviroid - this is a supplementary test to our standard Pospiviroid seed testing package.
